What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a web standard that allows a reader to easily subscribe to frequently-updated online content, in this case news stories from the Crabnet Online. The RSS feeds can be used with a variety of web browsers, applications, services, and web sites, including:

The Crabnet Online's
events calendar is available in the iCalendar format, a standard for subscribing and displaying online calendar information. It can be used with programs and devices including
Apple iCal,
Apple iPods,
Google Calendar, and
Microsoft Outlook.
Mac OS X Dashboard Widget

A Dashboard Widget is available for Mac OS X users, allowing for easy access to the latest Crabnet content. Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. If you're using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, Show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If you're using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. Show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it. Once the Widget is installed, flip it around to choose between the various news categories.
